Here's how to use GlobalBlocks:
(This is also a great place to practice using them).
You can simply right click a GlobalBlock in the Structure window (on the right) and select Copy. This will allow you to paste GlobalBlocks to other pages using CTRL+V or just by right clicking on the page you want them to display and select 'Paste'.
Feel free to try it on this page.
You can also add any GlobalBlock by clicking the 'Add' button in the top left of your screen and selecting the 'GlobalBlock' element. Once the GlobalBlock is added, you can then select which GlobalBlock you would like to use.
The beauty of GlobalBlocks is in their editing capability. You can add GlobalBlocks to as many pages as you like, and you can edit them from a single source and the changes will be applied to every instance where that GlobalBlock is visible.
There's two ways to edit a GlobalBlock. You can select the GlobalBlock you want to edit and click 'Edit Global Block' or you can go to the Global Blocks page which is accessible within the Dashboard > Breakdance > Global Blocks.
Global Blocks are a brilliant and powerful tool, but they can be a bit tricky to manage if you end up having waaaay too many. It's also ideal from an SEO perspective not to have too much identical content across every page, but having a little info box present here and there won't really impact SEO in any majorly negative way.
